România, le nom du pays, vient du român (précédemment rumân), « Roumain », qui est un dérivé du Latin romanus, signifiant « citoyen de Rome ». Le nom du pays est relié à Rome, ancienne capitale de l’Empire romain et à l’Empire bysantin dont le nom officiel était Ρωμανία (Romania)… En effet, nous avons pu reconnaitre des sons et mots latins familiers.

România, the name of the country, comes from român (previously rumân), « Romanian », which in turn is a derivative of the Latin romanus, meaning « citizen of Rome ». The name of the country is linked with Rome, former capital of the Roman Empire and with the Byzantine Empire, which official name was Ρωμανία (Romania)… Indeed, we could recognize familiar latin sounds and words.

On était bouche bée à écouter Olivier ! De France ! Il nous a rejoints pour boire un coup et nous a raconté son pélerinage : il parcourt les routes d’Europe depuis juillet 2009 sans argent, sans sponsor – 20 à 30 km à pied par jour. WOW – We were stunned listening to Olivier! From France! He joined us for a drink and told us about his pilgrimage: he has been walking the roads of Europe since July 2009 without money, without sponsor – 20 to 30 km on foot per day. WOW

Les jours raccourcissent ! Vers 20h, il commence à faire sombre…

Alors que nous allions planter la tente sur un parking, les habitants voisins nous ont invités à le faire à l’intérieur de la fabrique où ils travaillent le marbre. Puis, notre avant-dernière étape hongroise a été chez Feri & Petra, rencontrés le soir même à la station service ! Köszönöm for your hospitality!

Days are getting shorter! Around 8 pm, it starts to get dark…

As we were going to plant our tent on a parking lot, the next door neighbors invited us to do so inside their marble workshop. Then, our next to last Hungarian stop was at Feri & Petra whom we met the same evening at the gas station! Köszönöm for your hospitality!

Nous nous sommes reposés 3 jours près de Budapest, dans une Fondation chrétienne où nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis… La mission de Living Hope : être une maison d’accueil pour les familles hongroises et les jeunes en difficulté.

We rested 3 days near Budapest, in a Christian Foundation where we were warmly welcome… Living Hope’s mission is to provide a home for Hungarian young people and families with difficult backgrounds.
